What are your artwork requirements?

Artwork for any screen printing & sticker orders must be supplied print-ready or additional fees may apply.

Artwork must be submitted in one of the following formats:


Vector files are preferred files and will produce the best possible print. All fonts must be converted to outlines.

Adobe Illustrator (.ai)

Scalable Vector Graphic (.svg)
Encapsulated PostScript (.eps)
Portable Document Format (.pdf)


Image files must be CREATED at 300dpi or higher in the EXACT print size desired or larger. All font layers must be rasterized.

Photoshop (.psd) (preferred)

.TIFF (transparent background preferred)


Files submitted outside of these requirements are subject to additional charges and production delays.

Where is Brass City Ink located?

We are located at 1760 Watertown Ave in Oakville Connecticut.

What are Brass City Inks hours of operation?

We are open Monday through Friday 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM. We also work with our clients after hours by appointment.

What is screen printing?

Screen printing is a technique where ink is pushed through a mesh screen using a squeegee to transfer a design onto a particular item. 

What type of inks do you use?

We use both plastisol ink as well as water-based ink if requested.

What is your return policy?

Because what we do is custom to each project, we do not accept returns on any order. 

What are your payment terms?

We require payment in full prior to any printing or embroidery.

What is your pricing for graphic design work?

Depending on how detailed the design is depends on the cost. Typically we can give an estimate, but once the final design is complete we can give the exact price. This is because things may be added or fixed based on the clients wants. 

Can I make changes to my order after it has been finalized?

Certain changes can be made at no cost or they may incur a fee. It is based on the individual job, but we are happy to work with you!

What is the minimum quantity I can order?

12  piece minimum for heat transfers.

50 piece minimum for screen printing.

50 piece minimum for die cut stickers. 

25 piece minimum for embroidery jobs. Hats, Polos etc.

25 piece minimum for embroidered or leather patches.

Do you ship nationwide?

Yes, we do! Shipping is paid by the customer.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Once the artwork is approved and payment has been made, it can take anywhere from 7-14 business days to complete the job. 

Do you offer fundraising or merchandise stores?

We offer both! Each store is individually tailored to our clients needs. Most stores require no start up costs or monthly fees. We have worked with New Haven Fire Department, Waterbury Fire Department, Middletown Fire Department & Watertown High School to name a few. Contact us at (203)493-9019 or for more info.
